A nightmare of a dealership to deal with

Purchased a used vehicle from this place, just to have issues go unresolved. I got passed around like a potato between service and sales for three months. The sales guy didnt give a crap about my situation and the used car sales manager would say things and disappear. A previous reviewer hit the nail on the head when they mentioned when you ask for Chad, you almost always get someone else or if you do get him he tries to push you off to a sales person to get away. You also dont get phone calls returned as promised. I had to constantly call up there or show up in person to get updates on my situation. I technically owned the vehicle, but Suntrup Ford had it in their possession the majority of the time and never fixed the issue. They even had to do some cosmetic repairs to the vehicle, because it was damaged while in their possession. I wasnt told about the damage, I found it on my own because they had forgot to reinstall a panel and when I went to reinstall the panel I noticed the damage to my vehicle. They finally ended up sending it to another dealership that actually manufactures the vehicle and its supposedly fixed, but honestly with this place it's hard to believe anything that they say. Do yourself a favor and go to a dealership that values it customers more than this place.

Outstanding Service deptartment

Had my for multiple issues, took me to a rental place. They provided multiple options explained pros and cons and let me choose. even took me to a car rental place. Dropped it off around 11 AM and got it was ready for pick up the next morning. Everything is fixed and working great

Military veterans beware!

Avoid this dealership at all costs. High pressure sales, deceptive verbiage and false information are practiced here. There are surely better Ford dealerships in the St Louis area. A dealership that actually remembers your appointment time when made. A dealership whose salesmen actually knows all the ins and outs of the product they’re selling. One whose sales managers and finance manager actually listen to their salesman, (without cursing at them,) and to the customer about what the customer wants and not just what deal they want to push you into buying. I’m advising all my veteran brothers and sisters from the VFW, Amvets and American Legion to drive right by this dealership and shop elsewhere.

Purchased Used Edge

My husband and I purchased a used Ford Edge at Suntrup Ford Westport. Our salesman was Mike Eime. Mike was helpful and friendly without pressure. The price offered on our trade-in and the price of the new car were fair. The car had recently come to the dealership, so we are going back for detailing next week and they offered us a loaner while the work is being done. All in all, it was a pleasant buying experience and we would go back there again.

OUTSTANDING Sales Team!!!

I would like to personally thank and highly recommend Eddie Jones and Malik Adams for providing such a great buying experience! I started off by walking in with a specific F-150 picked out from their online inventory. I was assisted by Eddie, we took a test drive and got the ball rolling. I spoke with both Eddie and Malik on the phone and via text over the next few days. Finished up the deal with Malik. Eddie and Malik were extremely professional, honest, personable and didn’t pressure me in any way! They were easy going, pleasant and genuinely passionate about earning my business. I did a lot of shopping around so they definitely earned it! Buying Nightmare

I purchased my vehicle from suntrup on July 17th, I had purchased what I thought was going to be a safe and reliable car for myself, my son and soon to be daughter. That quickly took a turn as soon as I got the car home put it in reverse to straighten out my parking. I heard a loud pop when turning the steering wheel. I immediately called Terry (the gentleman who sold me the vehicle) and was told someone from service would get a hold of me to set up an appointment to get it fixed. Heres where everything really starts to go downhill, I was never contacted and after a few days of calling and getting no response I took the vehicle to my local mechanic on the 19th to have it looked over. My mechanic found several things wrong with the vehicle and stated that it should not have been allowed to be driven off the lot in that condition. It needed a new rack n pinion (the popping I heard when turning the steering wheel) struts, brake booster, power steering fuel line is leaking, rear axel, and tires were extremely bald and worn on the inside. After finding this out I continued to call with no response or call back from the manager, Chad, and it took getting a hold of Terry to even get the slightest call back. Once I finally got a in touch with Chad, I was told I would be given a time to bring it in. Once again no one called me with a time to bring the vehicle in. om Tuesday the 24th I took it upon myself to go back and take it up there with the vehicle. I was met by Terry who simply wanted to rush me out and put me in a temporary car without telling me what they were planning on doing next. After asking, he told me the technician who passed the car for safety and emissions was going to look over the car again along with the manager and they would be calling me back. I gave them my copy of what my mechanic found and told him that in addition to those issues the check engine light had popped on that day. He acted like he was writing said issues down and gave me the keys to the rental and sent me off. Two days later Terry called me and told me "basically" everything I had found wrong with the car was what they found and that Chad would be getting in touch with me to discuss it further. I heard from Chad on the 26th when he asked me to bring up the Kia they put me in because they had actually sold the vehicle and needed it back. I agreed and asked him for a free minutes for us to sit down and talk about what was going to be done to the vehicle I had purchased. At this time I was told yes but as soon as I got there that quickly changed. When I arrived I sat and waited for Chad only to be met by someone else who once again was going to send me off in a different car. I asked where Chad was and if I could speak to him about my vehicle and was directed outside to the bbq grill where he was throwing chicken on the grill. I asked him what they were planning on fixing and his exact words were "basically the things your mechanic found". I said ok and asked for an invoice of what was going to be fixed and how long it would take. I was told about 10 days and he sent me off with one of the other salesmen to go to the service department where they "allegedly" had the invoice. It was not there. we went back up to Chad and he said well I guess I'll have to get it back to you. I was brushed aside because he was too busy putting his lunch on the grill when I told him exactly what time I would be there that day to speak with him. The salesman Chad pawned me off on told me either Chad or Terry will get it emailed to me by the next day. Frustrated, I left in the next vehicle they put me in and waited for the email with the invoice. I waited 2 days before calling Terry, because calling Chad gets you no where, and left a voicemail stating I had never recieved an email with the invoice of what they were fixing on my car. I never recieved a call back or an email, on Aug 7th I finally recieved a text from Terry with a picture of the invoice. Once again I stated to him this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I had still to hear from Chad about what was going on with my vehicle! Today is now August 16th and I STILL have yet to hear anything back about my car! I purchased this car a month ago and havent even been able to drive it and dont even have any type of reassurance that the issues are being fixed properly or at all!! I'm currently paying on a vehicle that isn't safe to drive and I dont even have!! I'm extremely upset with this whole situation and frankly extremely pissed! I wish I would have just returned the car instead of trying to make it work because I like the vehicle! I strongly recommend that anyone looking to purchase from here take a second to think about it and make sure they aren't trying to just pull one over on you! No one deserves to be treated this way and ignored, especially when I did nothing to the vehicle except drive it home!

Delivery of new fleet vehicle

Kevin Ruzicka is awesome!! I was so glad to hear that he was the guy who was delivering my new 2018 Ford Escape fleet vehicle. This is the second time in 3 years that I had the pleasure working with Kevin on the courtesy delivery of a new company car. He is so likable, friendly and very helpful. It has been a very positive experience both times. I hope he will be there to deliver my next new fleet vehicle in 2021!

Awesome Customer Service

Moving to the area and was needing a dependable used car to replace my vehicle quickly due to an accident one week prior to moving. Dealership was helpful in trying to get me in a car I was comfortable in and would feel safe. Very sympathetic of my situation and worked very hard to get me what I needed. Feel Terry Logan went above and beyond and received 'WOW' treatment!!

My wife and I bought a 2014 Ford Edge from Mike Kearns. He carefully and cordially answered all of our questions and worked to get us the best price for the car. After the purchase, he kindly sent paperwork that I had absentmindedly left at the dealership. He also forwarded us information that we requested to help us with the sale of our previous car. Great buying experience!

I bought a car online from Mike without ever seeing or driving it, so I was completely reliant on his description and pictures. He was extremely honest in disclosing a issue with warped door panels that I would have never noticed in the pictures. My Porsche dealer in Oklahoma City told me that it was an extremely expensive fix, but Mike had it fixed before I arrived. Mike picked my wife and I up at the airport and we drove the vehicle back to Oklahoma. Love the car and the buying experience could not have been better. We even got a 90 day 3k mile warranty when I haven't needed but sure adds peace of mind.

I was shopping for a new mustang at a couple of different dealerships. I had a slightly better price at another dealership, but I had such a great experience with Mike that I went with Suntrup. Mike took the time to ask me what I was looking for in a car and build a personal relationship with me. I would highly recommend Suntrup Ford Westport to anyone shopping for any Ford product, and if you're looking for a world class sales experience ask for Mike Kearns.

My wife and I shopped at a competing dealership (Bommarito Ford) earlier in the day. It was the worst experience my wife and I have had in car sales. But when we came to Suntrup Ford Westport, Terry Logan and his sales manager were a breath of fresh air! Terry explained all of the benefits with dealing with Suntrup Ford Westport as well as a fair price and bottom line. His sales manager introduced himself and assured us that it's not only the price but the RESPECT his he and his staff have for every customer they encounter. Well...that respect earned our business! Excellent Sales Person!

We recently purchased two new vehicles at Suntrup Westport, a 2017 Focus and a 2017 Escape. We worked with Nathan Perales and recommend him highly. Nathan was patient and thorough with us as we worked through the process of deciding on first the Focus, second the Escape, and finally the trade-in of our old vehicle. During our debate on the two cars, we mentioned that we were not happy with the interior of our 2017 Platinum Fusion which we purchased from Suntrup last September. Nathan quickly explained that we can add the protection package which would resolve the issues that we identified. He also demonstrated the park assist feature which is on our Fusion but which had not been demonstrated for us. Nathan stayed with us through the entire process, helping us connect phones to the cars, ensuring that the protection package was added to the three vehicles, and ensuring that we understood the features on our new cars. He even followed up a few days later with a phone call. No review would be complete without mentioning Michael Jackson. We are aware that he has moved on; and we are so glad he was still with Suntrup as we worked through this last purchase process. He has always been the consummate professional. We wish him the best in his future endeavors! We highly recommend Nate Perales!

On-Mon.,05/22,I-inquired-about-a-2017-Focus-on-line-and-completed-a-pre-approval-application-which-was-approved.Then-on-Tues.,0523,I-received-an-email-from-Suntrup-on-moving-forward.I-replied-and-did-not-receive-a-reply.On-Wed.,05/24,I-sent-more-emails-concerning-moving-forward-all-went-unanswered.Apparently-they-did-not-care-about-sellling-a-car.Then-on-Thurs,05/25,I-finally-talked-to-another-salesperson.I-explianed-my-experience-and-that-this-was-by-far-the-worst-customer-service-I-have-experienced.I-explained-that-I-had-completed-the-on-line-pre-approval-application-and-was-pre-approved.Guess-what-low-and-behold-they-coud-not-locate-it.They-did-not-offer-me-any-assistance-ni-anyway.Jus-informed-me-to-find-the-financing-on-my-own-and-then-let-them-know.Well,guess-what-I-will-never-conduct-business-with-them-nor-recommend-them-to-anyone.Customer-service-is-going-down-the-toilet-and-they-are-a-prime-example-of-proving-that.

Poor customer service

I bought a new 2013 F150 from this dealer and almost immediately had a problem with the service department. Started going to Suntrup Kirkwood for service and they were excellent. Made me feel appreciated. Also had Kirkwood's body shop do work on the F150 and that was perfect as well. Fast forward to Dec 2016. Decided I wanted to get an explorer and found one to my liking. During the test drive I noticed the steering wheel was not straight and it seemed to have an alignment problem, They never offered to check it but getting an alignment wasn't a big deal until I took it to Suntrup Kirkwood for an oil change and alignment. Kirkwood said there was something bent, probably a lower control arm but maybe struts. They couldn't get it aligned to spec but they did the "best they could" . They said they could start replacing parts at my expense until they found the problem. The failed alignment cost about $250 and took 3 hours. The struts and lower control arm was estimated close to $600, They said I should go back to Westport because they should take care of the problem. I contacted the sales person who never called back. I sent the shop report from Kirkwood to the used car manager and also left a voice mail. Zero response. So Suntrup has now gone from preferred to BUYER BEWARE, STAY AWAY.

SCAM ALERT!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! Every negative review you read is true. I experienced every negative remark about this dealer, including Mike Kearns and their supposed "Expert Car Repairman". I went to buy a truck advertised from their site around $47,000, with a trade in & $5000 down. For starters, my car that I was going to trade-in only had 1 chip in the hood, a cracked windshield that I offered to replace myself and 2 rims with minor curb rubs. Mike told me the online price was wrong & that it included rebates/ discounts that did not apply to me but would not tell me which rebates that did not apply to me. Mike also told me that they do not honor military discounts to Retired military members & that the military discount only applies to "Active" military, completely bogus! Secondly, they supposed "Expert Mechanic" tried feeding me a bogus claim on my trade in. The mechanic claimed I had "Cancer" on the hood of my car. He pointed to what was 1 chip of paint & blemishes from the wax & said my hood was "Rotting away" & it was what they call "Cancer". I had a cracked windshield, which I offered to replace myself. They would only offer $5000 less than Black book. After they "tried so hard to earn my business”, they turned me down. I knew my credit was not perfect but I did not think it was bad enough to be turned down. Therefore, I took my trade-in and cash to another dealer. Not only did I the truck I wanted from their site but they did not try to lie to me about their online, they also gave what Blackbook quoted. The other dealership "Expert Car Repairman" also stated the blemishes in the wax was not cancer but was just simply spots were the wax did not take well on the hood. After the mechanic applied the wax they use he showed that there was nothing wrong with the hood all except for 1 chip of paint. So, listen to every negative remark about this shady dealership because they are right.

Found the car I was interested in the Internet. Test drove and traded in my car. Process was easy. Just alot of paperwork this part has not changed.
